Dock at the Bay, Ellicott Square Building

My fiancee and I are interested in both the Dock at the Bay and the Ellicott Square Building for our June 2013 wedding reception. Has anyone been to a wedding at either of these places and can give me some feedback? Thanks!

these are the two places me and my fiancee were debating between. I too would have rather had the Ellicott Square building. We decided that the expense of renting everything is noth worth it, also at the Ellicott square you have to set up everything. We decided on the Dock. The view is gorgeous and we like that is a Buffalo staple. Very reasonable in price, they are letting us come early to set stuff up, and the staff is really nice. The only drawback is there is a low ceiling over the dance floor. I have a fear of someone "shouting" and hitting it but she said ti never happens. Our wedding is May 12th 2012 so I'll post again after!

Dock at the Bay is extremely reasonable in price- the Ellicott Square Building is more towards the top of our budget, and I'm worried that catering costs, table and chair rentals, parking, etc. would add up to be more than we think. I would really prefer Ellicott Square Building, but I'm worried that the hassle of coordinating everything would make it not worth it. Thanks for your input!

Both are 2 very different venues! Dock of the bay's main attraction would be the view! it's not a bad place but thats the only attraction to it! The ellicott square building is a beautiful building however you will have to bring in your wn catering and I don't know the cost comparison of the 2 but of they are close in price I would pick ellicott square building!
