Planning a wedding from 3000 miles away, help!
My fiance and I recently moved to San Francisco but all of our friends and family are back in Buffalo. We decided to have the wedding back in Buffalo for that reason, and because it's ten times cheaper. We are on a strict budget of about $3000 right now so we can't afford much. Does anybody know any good venues to have the ceremony and reception for that much? If it comes down to it, we can make our own buffet of food.
I already have my dress and he already has his suit so that is not included in the budget. All of the decorations are being made by our friends and us so that is also not included in the budget.
Any information would really help.

A lof of the stuff like photography and music are covered by our friends as presents to us for our wedding. But, we were looking at Pearl St. before, we just couldn't figure out pricing and whenever we remembered to call them we thought it was too late because of the time difference. The only thing is that it has to be fore more than 100 people, and our list right now is like 70, and with +1's it would only be like 105. So, counting on all of those +1's coming would be great. hah.

We used the following services and had great results
BKM Photography - Brian was really great to work with!
Giorgio's Limousine - They have a really great selection of limos We used the 22 Passenger Black Limousine bus
TME Video - They are part of Giorgio's but separate they offered a package, the Video guy was really nice and the video turned out as we hoped!
Phenomenon Sound- They really kept the event moving and our DJ was totally cool.
Pearl Street Grill- Natalie was so helpful as was the whole staff, the room was decorated amazingly
Hope this was helpful

I was thinking about Birchfeild, but I sorta amused that since the Albright Knox was expensive then it would also be. It would be pretty cool though since we are both the artsy type. Even if we could just do the ceremony fast right at the reception site it would be okay with me. I'm not asking for much with this wedding other than it be cheap, fun, and still at a nice place.

Salvatores is beautiful- thats where im planning on having mine, but theres no way it will be under $3000. Did you look at Birchfield Penny Are center. Its new. In Buffalo. Very beautiful and they hold receptions

Every time I have been there though it has been pretty fancy. We are looking to be pretty casual about all of it. We just want one hell of a fun reception. Buffet style food, cupcakes instead of a big cake, just wine and beer instead of a whole fancy bar.

Hi Liz- Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel can accomondate ceremonies and receptions for approximetly 100 guests . The food comes directly from the restaurant, the setting is beautiful and they offer complementary centerpieces and hotel discounts for your guests. Very affordable ! Call Alison or Kayleigh at 716 635 9000.

Pretty casual, but we want to stay away from fire halls. We were looking at the botanical gardens but it turns out they make you use their caterers so it would be almost a thousand over budget because of that. We talked over the idea of going to city hall and then having a nice fun reception, but again, we wouldn't know where to go with that because of money.

Are you looking for real fancy or casual? There's a lot of firehalls and stuff like that you could book at.

The guest list right now is 70, but I would have to count in everyones +1 so I would say, at most 100.
