The Hamlin House
Hi everyone! Has anyone ever attended (or hosted!) a wedding held at The Hamlin House on Franklin St in downtown Buffalo? Just curious how the experience was there; I can't find many pictures other than those on their website. Their prices are near impossible to beat so I'm interested!

Cool venue-great food-Ask for Sharon, she's great! Not cafeteria food- great paid staff. Parking it the only draw back. Car pool

I was very interested myself in having our wedding there but have not yet been yet either. I am surprise about the comment that the food was like a cafeteria because if you check the menu they offer pork chops, chicken and even have a carving table for an extra fee. I have never seen that in a cafeteria. I think I may go there for brunch or breakfast and check it out. I will come back on and post once I do. Good luck

Was at a wedding there last year and it was great. The food was wonderful, and the service was good . I have never heard that it was run by volunteers...Call them the lady there was most helpful :-) Good Luck

Are you looking for help planning your wedding? Exquisite Designs helped us with our planning process and we didn't have to worry about anything. She also just was awarded the 2010 Brides Choice Awards. They are really amazing. I would highly recommend them.

Hello. The last I knew, the Hamlin House was run entirely by volunteers which is probably why you're getting such low prices. The food is very similar to what you'd find in a cafeteria. There is very little parking as well. It's a pretty cool venue though. The back room is spacious. So if your budget is minimal and you don't mind a group of inexperienced, unpaid staff serving your guests, than I would say go for it...
