Church Wedding Issue

Hi, I am planning on having the ceremony at a church next May, although I would not mind having the ceremony at a less formal place. I am not close with my parents and they may not be coming to the wedding. I don't have any siblings or close male relatives, and there are no male friends I would feel comfortable asking to walk me down the aisle.

Does anyone know different ways I can make an entrance so that I won't have to have someone walk me down the aisle, while not creating a stir among guests so people are whispering? Also, any suggestions on other less formal places to have a ceremony that have indoor/outdoor options? (I already have a reception place that does not have a ceremony option). Thank you.

Walk half way up the aisle yourself, and have your groom walk up to meet you and escort you the rest of the
way. This can signify the lives you led alone, and how you are now walking life's journey together.
Also, if you have a flower girl, she can hold one hand (the one not holding the bouquet) and walk you down the
aisle.

I like the idea of having your husband-to-be walk you down the aisle!

Although I dont know your relationship with your father-in-law to be, that could be a way to have some support while including your new family.

Also, it doesn't have to be a man to walk you down the aisle! I was raised by my mom and she will be the one to walk me down the aisle. What about Grandma?

In this day in age, I would hope people would not create a stir of whispers! I've seen brides walk up the aisle solo - it's not what you're walking away from, it who you're walking to that's important.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Hey, well depending on how traditional you are, I've actually seen brides & grooms walk up the isle together. Might be a nice alternative.
