In need of advice!

My fiance and I are in the first weeks of planning and honestly I had no idea how overwhelming it would be! We are weighing the options of having the reception at Pearl Street vs. renting out a venue like the Armory. Pearl Street is reasonable, but it might be out of our price range. And with the armory, or any other rental hall, we have the issues of renting tables and chairs, getting a caterer, etc. Im wondering if anyone has ever had a wedding at a hall in which they needed to supply everything. I am trying to weigh all my options. If anyone knows any other great rental halls, I am open to all suggestions! Thank you in advance!

Buffalo Photobooth

I would NOT go with Buffalo Photobooth. Their customer service sucks ass! They never return phone calls. Give BKM Photo a call. They offer Photobooths and the owner "Brian" is a GREAT guy.

Photobooth problems?

I'm wondering if anyone else has had poor customer service dealing with Buffalo Photobooth. I've already gave them my security deposit and am seriously considering canceling because of the lack of customer service, with simple things like not returning many phone calls or emails... and then being rude on the phone when they did finally call. I'm afraid I'll lose my deposit but I really don't want to have to give them more money if I'm not sure what I'll get. Any thoughts? Right now, I'm not happy with them and I'm not sure what to do. THanks!

Floor??

What floor of Pearl Street would you be on? I am trying to find people that have been on the second floor

You'll be good either way

We're getting married at the Delaware Park Casino, where you have to use one of their five caterers. Most caterers you call will give you good pricing on things like tables & chairs, linens, etc - or include them in their overall price. And a caterer will give you a better deal on items like that since they are always renting them - instead of you going direct to a table & chair company.

But Pearl Street IS wonderful. I've been to several weddings & rehearsal dinners there and every time has been excellent!

The other thing to worry about with the Armory - even though it's a total long shot - they have a stipulation in their contracts that state if there's a national emergency and the armory is needed, your event will be cancelled without refund.

Definitely Pearl St.

Definitely Pearl St. Natalie who does parties there is amazing! Plus everything you need in factored into the price. There food and service is amazing! My sister -in-law had her wedding there. If you go with the Armory it could end up costing you more in rentals. Plus Olivers is crazy expensive. I inquired about their pricing for my wedding and they were ridiculous not to mention I never received responses from them when I had questions- imagine that when the chaos of the wedding really hits-no response! yikes!

First suggestion is getting a wedding planner, they can save you time and money! We used one and she was amazing. Pearl Street is great! They have everything you will need. If you do a venue with nothing in it you will end up spending more.

I vote Pearl St.

I would call Olivers. They have dealt with the space before and know what it entails. Armory has no air conditioning and rentals add up quickly. Plan on $.50 each item you are renting.
