Reviews/input on other ceremony/reception places. (not expensive but still nice)
Hi, I was still thinking of more ideas/places for my wedding. Has anyone had a ceremony/reception at Como park in Lancaster(casino), or anything like that? I have not been there in a while so im trying to picture the scenery etc. I probably will go look at it soon, im just wondering can you bring someone in to marry you? Ideally, I would love to have a garden type outdoor ceremony with an inside option there in case the weather doesnt cooperate and then the reception indoors. Im trying to keep the ceremony and reception at the same place or close by. Thank you.

There's also a place at the Elma/East Aurora Border . . . O'brein's Grove (AKA: O'Briens Sleepy Hollow)

I agree, joseph's is probably the type of place your looking for . . . they have a picnic menu that is resonably
priced. Gregor's Grove on Clinton is probably the least expensive . . . not the fanciest place, but okay for a small
wedding. The other places I mentioned are more expensive. But I think a place like Joseph's makes things
easier than a park, I would worry about gawkers at the park, parking, etc. Good luck whatever you decide!

I went to Como recently cause i grew up in the alden/lancaster area and thought it might be nice to have pictures taken there. Boy, is it run down now!!!! Definitely check it out before envisioning your wedding there, they definitely have not maintained the park whatsoever. If you want to have your ceremony in a park, I'd probably recommend Akron Falls. Although like other people said, there may be issues with liquor, etc.
I do recommend Joseph's for an inexpensive garden/outdoorsy/indoor option place...they are not expensive and their grounds are really nice. Also the people there are very helpful and accomodating. I was considering it for my reception, we ended up going with Millenium because we wanted to be attached to a hotel.

I'm not sure if they allow receptions in county parks . . . liquor issues, parking, etc.
However, there are some banquet facilites that hae indoor/outdoor weddings:
Gregor's Garden Grove
Kloc's Banquets and Gardens
Kotecki's Grandview Grove
(all above are in West Seneca)
Creekside Banquet (Union at Losson - Cheektowaga)
Joseph's Catering (on Columbia, near Tranist and French, Depew- They have picnic grounds with volleyball,
horseshoes, basketball, etc.)
I'm sure there are others . . . you may want to check them out!
