Am I Getting Ahead Of Myself!!!

My fiance and I dated for 7yrs were bestfriends for 15yrs and we will not be getting married untill 09-09-2011. It is 2 1/2 yrs away. I am already planning alot of what I want and buying what I can afford now. We have to pay for our wedding ourselves for neither of our families have money to spear. I sometimes feel that I may be pushing things to fast. Please let me know your opinions.

My fiance and I just got engaged and our wedding is 6-25-11. I couldn't believe that some places were already booking for summer of 2011! We already booked our reception venue and the church. I am planning a lot too. If you haven't booked a reception venue yet, I suggest you start looking into them. We had to eliminate a number of venues based on the number of guest we are inviting (250). I am getting married 6/24/11 at Samuels Grande Manor...so far. We've been engaged 2 months and i will just be graduating spring 2011. Once you get the set date and location, everything is going to be better from there. One month you can get invites and the next pick flowers. Its a good feeling that all the money wont b due at one time. We went to Samuels today and they were extremely nice and helpful. It is also beautiful.

Hi, I want to get married also in 2011,probably july-september. My fiance and I have been together 5 and a half years. By then I should be graduating college. I just wish I had a good job now to start saving more. Im also trying to start looking at major things:ceremony/reception location,estimate guestlist etc. Let me know if you find a mice place that is reasonable. ps. my birthday is on your wedding date lol!

You are doing the right thing come 2011 any money you get you will be able to save and not worring about paying for your wedding!!!

It's always better to be over-prepared than under-prepared, but I agree with some other posts on here that you don't want to forget about enjoying being engaged. Also, consider that your tastes may change in a year, so maybe don't buy the dress until later. Ultimately, it's your day so do what you want!!!

I'm getting married in summer 2010, and I'm already driving myself crazy trying to pick a reception spot lol.....so I know how you feel.
