ANYONE HAVE AN OPINION ON THE 5 CATERERS CHOOSEN BY DELAWARE PARK CASINO

I AM GOING ON A TOUR TO THE DELAWARE PARK CASINO..THEY TOLD ME ABOUT MY CATERING CHOICES AND IM JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ANY INPUT???

If they still have Avi on their catering list DO NOT USE HIM. My friend used him at the casino for her wedding in August 09 and he ruined her wedding. He was suppose to have two people working the bar, only had one so the line went out the building. He could not keep the food filled for the buffet so we had to keep waiting for the food (how can you not keep us with salad???). He ran out of pasta which had a alfredo sauce on it and tried to substitue different pasta with melted cheese on top and no spices and the meat at the carving station was cold. This was a wedding for only 100 people. Oh yeah and he was suppose to have a cheese and exotic fruit for apps and that was missing.

I am also having my reception at the casino. I would recommend talking with all 5 of the caterers, since they all have their own style of food and budget. I was able to rule a few places out just by what they offer and their costs.

There is not a kitchen at all at Delaware Park, so any caterer would have the same issue. This summer will be the first year they are doing weddings there, so there is nothing to base an opinion on at this location. I have only heard fantastic things about Rich's and I think their food is much better quality than other weddings I have been to.

Rich's is horrific. DO NOT book them. They do not cook the food onsite and the quality of the food is atrocious: lukewarm and processed. They might seem more reasonably priced, but think of your guests. If the other caterers seem pricey, invite fewer people.

We chose Rich's catering. We felt the most comfortable with them and they include everything in their packages, which would make things easier for us. They even include the cake!
