Wedding Party Dance!

I want to have something fun and upbeat for our wedding party's dance. Nothing slow or boring. Something fun to set the mood for the rest of the night. At my sister's wedding a few years ago the wedding party did their dance as the chicken dance, it was fun and laid back, setting the tone for the rest of the night. Any other suggestions???

The cupid shuffle is new and upbeat, and easy to learn for those that are shy about dancing.

What about the shout song!

The hokey-pokey, if there are going to be kids at the reception.
Also, practice a "stroll" dance . . . pick a song, have everyone stand on either side and have couples, groups,
singles stroll down the aisle (See the last few minutes of the movie "Hitch"!) The stroll dances were
popular decades ago, and the older folks at the reception are more likely to participate . . . and you really don't
have to know how to dance.You can also pick whatever fun song you like.

I think the RUN DMC song "tricky" is sooo fun and its so upbeat they use it in the movie "white chicks" and the dancing they do is fun and hilarious.

i was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding and she decided to do a "fun" dance for the wedding parties first dance. problem is.. none of us expected it because she didn't tell us and it didn't go well at all. the upbeat song came on and we were all just standing around 9except for her and her little girl) saying to eachother how dumb we felt standing there because none of us wanted to dance, especially with all eyes on us!

I was at brides world on sunday and durimng the fashion show they guy came out to the casper slide....I don't know about you but when I hear it I just wanna dance....lol.....good luck finding a song!
