HUGE problem with a racist mother .....

I am having the biggest problem ever. My mother and some of my family are very racist againist blacks. When I mentioned to my mother that our DJ we booked was a black man, she FREAKED OUT told me that I will be motherless and she will not show up to our wedding..................Does anyone see this as a huge problem like I do. We fought on the phone last night, I got so mad, I ended up smashing my phone in to pieces!!! I can not stand her!!! I tryed explaining that this is OUR day, people should be going to support us and show love. I shouldnt have to worry on my weddding day if there are a few black people there. She told me I was asking for trouble!!!! Does anyone have a crazy family like this???? I don't know what to do, I seriously am not even happy about our day, because it is going to be runined and I know it. Me and my finacee are thinking about taking out a loan to get the hall ourselfs, it's about $7,000 and my parents are paying, but I don't even want them there. Even if nothing is said on the day of my wedding from my mother or father, there still is that tension and I will not be able to enjoy my day, one of the happiest days of a womans life......I am looking for any kind of help here.

Tell her get with the program. She wears clothes, eats food, and drives cars made from african americans. So- get over it! lol.

Thanks so much for responding. :) I told her yesterday that we can all act like adults for a few hours. I mean some of our guests are going to be black. So i talked to her last night and she calmed down a little and said ' you know what I really don't care if he is black, it just I know how some of our family get when they drink, something might slip out" I HATE THIS!! But she agreed to act like an adult.
And OH YEAH!! I have been on cloud 9 since yesterday watching the election coverage. Today even feels better, I have never been so happy watching history unfold!! I have put sooo much work and time on this election going to swing states, I love it! I can not wait until Obama is our president! I have never felt so secure with a political figure!

Well is she country-less because we now have a black president??
Tell her to get over herself it is your day. She will have to see the DJ for all of 5 hours.
Honestly I dont think you should tell your mother anything other than..."its booked and Im excited" anytime she asks you anything about your wedding. I am so sorry for you and all the trouble she is putting your through.
