Dilemma..... Want to go to justice of the peace
Ok so my current job changed health insurance and it is way to expensive so my Fiancé health insurance is so cheap for the 2 of us, but my mom says that it is not right to get married at the justice of the peace and then still have the whole wedding thing in 2010.... So I am caught between a rock and a hard place... Please tell me your honest option. Thank you

We had a similar situation and got married with our church's pastor last Oct. We have not told anyone and are pretending it didn't happen. We are planing our big day for this Aug. and that is when we will celebrate. It is no ones business, if you want to keep it to yourselves. Especially if you are doing it for financial/military reason.

I am dealing with a similar issue. My fiance is in the Marine Corps and deplpoys in March. He wanted to get married this February but I cant plan a wedding in two months when we are in NC and we want our wedding to be in NY. So we thought we would go to JP. It would help us out ALOT financially. My dad was fine with it but my MOM....not so much. I couldnt not tell her that thats what we wanted to do. I couldnt get married and not tell anyone and have the wedding but thats how I am. You have to do what you have to do. So we plan to go to the JP and have the wedding when he gets back from Iraq in 2009. Alot of the women I work with down here have done the same thing , I have even been to a wedding where the couple went to the JP and about 6 months later got married and it was a great wedding the couple couldnt have been happier! Its about the two of you!!! Hope this helps!
why would you lie?

I think that is horrible to keep it a secret if you get married at the JP. Why would you want to start your married life as a bit lie?

All I have to say is it is your wedding. You can also just do it and get married and not tell anyone until you have the big wedding. I dont think people are really going to care all that much to be honest with you!
Good Luck!
