Too soon to start planning?

Our wedding isn't until Feb of 2011. I feel like its really early to start planning anything but I attended a bridal show on Sunday and one of the florists was already booked up until oct of 2010!! My fiance especially thinks its a little early too but now I'm scared. My only hope is that since we are not getting married during wedding season we have a good chance at getting everything we want. So how long before the wedding date did everyone start planning?

It's never too soon to plan your budget!
Also, opening up a bank account for the wedding expeneses would be a good idea, too.

I think the only things you could consider is location of ceremony and reception. I wouldn't do anything such as choose bridesmaids or anything else...so much can change from now until then.

I thing you are smart to plan early. Just think about it-with all the pricec going up, get everything done NOW before that happens!! Thenif prices do go up, it doesnt matter

it is totally not too early :) - Sara

I don't think it is too early to start planning. I got engaged March 2nd, 2008 and our wedding isn't until September 12th, 2009. So now we have less than a year and you really do have to start booking things early, dates do fill up and now we are down to finding a DJ, Photographer, Cake and wedding favors. So I do feel a little overwhelmed because money is a tight to even book all these services. Hope this helps. good luck!

I am getting married in Novemeber and didn't really start planning or booking vendors until June or July!! Getting married in February, you will have alot of flexibilty (and make sure you ask for off-season discounts with the limo, DJ and whatever else you can!) Just enjoy being engaged for now- by 2011, you may have changed your mind on alot of things such as the reception place and dress.
