Hyatt Regency Buffalo
I am looking for info from anyone who has had their wedding at the Hyatt. I am looking into it, and like it very much but the guy told me there was five weddings there last night and that concerns me. I am worried about all of the guests mixing in the hall outside of the ballroom (since there is one huge room with divider walls). I am also worried about the sound travel from one wedding to another. Any info would be appreciated!

hyatt weddings - care bearPosted: 9/19/2008
I went to a wedding there last summer and it was really nice...the food was great, service was great...etc. There were a few weddings there and we didnt hear a thing, but we were rockin ourselves. I guess you have to expect that a bit if there are a few events going on.
But all and all its such nice venue, clean, courteous emps, etc. GREAT rooms! The parking, well its downtown what do you expect? We parked in the ramp, I am sure the Hyatt doesnt own it so its really not their fault about the parking. $7 is nothing compared to bigger cities trust me. I believe u can get valet if u want.

I looked into having my wedding at the Hyatt downtown...I am not having it there...because I have a lot of people already paying to come in from out of town and they charge $7/car/day for parking which i found ridiculous to make your wedding guests pay for parking. I would have spent about 30,000 to have my wedding there because of large guest list and they wouldn't take care of parking...just aggravated me..so inquire about that too!
sound problems

I attended a wedding their when there was another wedding going on. The wedding i was at was significantly smaller than the other wedding, and you could here the echo of the other music. It was mostly drowned out by the DJ, but during dinner when there wasn't as loud of music all you heard was the beat and bass from the wedding next door. Everyone at my table commented about how strange that one of the more prominent venues in buffalo would charge what they charge with that going on, I would keep looking. Also the bride mentioned that bc there was more than one wedding she didn't feel she had as personalized attention as she should have. Hope that helps.

I think you should check it out for yourself. I would be concerned about the noise level coming from other weddings as well and the only way to feel 100% assured that it won't be a problem is to see for yourself. I would explain my concerns to the coordinator and set up a time on a weekend when there are more than one wedding, that you can go into each room and observe.
Hopefully, some will weigh in here to give their own personal experience.
