Delaware Park Casino

I need help! My fiance and I are desperately trying to find a location for our wedding next year. We have been in love with Delaware Park Casino since we met. We have had such difficulty getting a hold of the people there..we can't ever get in the place to check it out, they have no caters. We checked out La Galleria today and liked it, but of course it's not the casino. Has anyone dealt with the casino? If so, PLEASE give me some advice. We are petrified of the prices at the casino since it costs 1000 just to rent the place. The reception at La Galleria would be under 5000...but we are thinking it would be a TON more at the casino since we have to pay 1000 just for the rental. What do we do? Any other suggestions as to where to go.

We are getting nervous since things are going to start to book up! PLEASE HELP!!!

What caterer are you using?

We are planning a reception there next year. Mrs. Marzullo has been great. I recomend this site ,its so beautiful.
The rooms are large and the view is great. They even have a privite roon off the main floor for getting ready or whatever.

Mutiple caterers will be selected for 2009. No one knows anything or when they will be selected. There will be no kitchen or dishwasher so your food will need to be shipped in from another source and you will have to rent all your china, tables and chairs.

They actually don't have ANY caterer for next year. Rich's may be currently, but who knows for next year what they are doing.

Rich's Renaissance does catering at the Delaware Park Casino - it would probably be the most informative to contact them directly if you're interested in having them as your caterer. Of course they are not the exclusive caterer there, but either way, the catering company usually has the most info!

Well my fiance and I are going there this Monday. My fiance really has his heart set on this place, but it just seems to get worse and worse every time. We heard that we have to pay for tables and chairs on top of everything else.

So what did you decide to do? Have you found any other place comparable?

I will let you know what happens when we go on Monday. They supposedly are going to be ready to present us with caterer options.

I went there with my fiance to check it out... the woman could not give us ANY information, no prices, nothing. She said we'd be required to use their caterer but then couldn't tell us who it would be, ball park prices, when they'd be choosing.... it was just SO unorganized! To top it off, she was pushy after showing us the building and telling us nothing. "so would you like to book now?" "okay well why don't we book now?" um.... no.

I have called at different times during the day and just get a answering machine. I have also emailed them. I just dont get why they cant return calls...All of the parks are run by them and I need a permit to get pictures done and I am running out of time.

Delaware Park Casino has had tons of weddings and events there...this should not be new for them. They may be switching caterers, but they have done this before so I guess I don't understand.

I would recommend calling during the day. The office is only open until 5. I too have left messages that have never been returned and when I spoke with the woman yesterday she had absolutely no remembrance that I have left messages, that she has spoke to my fiance TWICE or remembered that she e-mailed us the contract for the rose garden. So it seems as if it is best to just call when they are there and not to leave any messages. I am just at my wits end.

I want to have my pictures taken in the Japanese garden. We have left many voice mails for them and I emailed them and havent got a response. You need to have a permit from them to have pictures taken so if they dont call me back soon I will hav to find another option.

Olmsted is picking a caterer in the next month. That is why everything is so disorganized, they have never run a banquet hall before. So they don't know what to say or do. Once they pick the caterer then they can treat it like a real banquet hall. The number for olmsted is 8381249 ext 10.
