Photographer/DJ

I am in the early stages of photoger research, but I am looking into Nickel City and Saks because they seem reasonably priced and also Knight Studio because they did my sister's wedding, but is more pricey.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these? or any other recommendations?

I am also looking into CJ Sound for my DJ because my sister had them and they were great, but I just heard very negative feedback recently. Any insight?

We are using LakeView Photography. I loved their website. Very creative & not the same old stale pictures you see everywhere else. We are getting married in Geneva next year and they are willing to travel there. Mike showed me some of his work from Inn On The Lake where our wedding will be. BEAUTIFUL !!!!! Just what we were looking for.
Sorry, I can not help with the DJ. We are using a Rochester DJ service.

Dj needed

I want a DJ who is young, entertaining, professional and helps the whole wedding to run perfectly. I am not sure who to choose or how to choose them. Please HELP!!!!!

Don't use CJ Sound - Use Phenomenon Sound!

I looked into them for my wedding and I was quoted $800 for 6 hours. When I thanked the gentleman on the phone for taking his time to talk with me but explained that $800 was more than I had for my budget, he explained to me that they did have DJs that were cheaper. When I told him "so, what your saying is, I can pay less for a DJ but he won't be as good???" the owner started rambling. He claimed that the prices are based on level of experience. Which i replied "I would like to think that all of your DJs are experienced in wedding receptions otherwise you wouldn't have them working for you". He had no good answer and tried to push his $800 DJ.

I booked Phenomenon Sound. I've spoken to them several times with wedding questions and they are always willing to help out and make suggestions. They are wonderful to deal with. I went and observed several of their DJs in action and was very impressed, it was hard to choose just one DJ for my wedding!

Lakeview Photography & Video - Stacy

We used Lakeview photography for both our photo & video. When we booked the photography with them they give us $500 off the video pricing. They did a great job during the day. The results were great and our pictures were online in less than 2 weeks. We looked at Expressions but the video company they recommended was just to expensive and we wanted to stay in our budget and be able to do both the photo & video. Check them out www.alakeviewphotography.com

DJ PRICES? - Lisa

Is $695 a lot for 5 hours of a DJ with an hour of karaoke?

Picture Places - Stephanie

For those of you who said you have already been married, or been in a relatives / close friends wedding, where did you go for your wedding pictures? I am trying to find a nice place to go, that isn't the same place that everyone of my friends & family have gone to. & there isn't anywhere that is particullary special to my Fiance & me, so it is sort of difficult to choose. The really tough part is thinking of the places.

Thanks!

Just did our wedding last week. We found them on this webpage. They were great. Friendly, and we couldn't believe our pictures were up online on Monday (two days after our wedding). They were very creative too! Good luck

Expressions Studio- be prepared to wait a year for your photos!!!!

Friendly, but you are going to wait, and wait and wait after your wedding. Literally almost a year before we got our pictures!!! Also, while the photos were beautiful, they did not get any of my husband or I with our friends. That was very weird. Tons of the cake and the rings, but not one with me and my friends, my sister and mother (beyond formal pics) so we have had to search and ask our friends for their pictures, since we have none with our guests. weird.

I am using Expressions for my photography, they're awesome! I love the work and the staff. Our engagement session was amazing!

For DJ we're using Phenomenon Sound DJs, we saw them last year at a wedding and the dance floor was packed all night long. I do second the CJ Sound remark, my sister had them at her wedding and the DJ lost her play list and than said, he was having a bad day!

Goodluck! Melissa

My sister had Lakeview Photography do her wedding last year. We all loved the pictures and we enjoyed Melissa our photographer. She was not at all pushy like some photographers are we just all had a good time. I am not sure about pricing I know they are exclusive wedding only photographers.
