The Elicott Square Building is beautiful, and great for a large party. However, most place require reservations,
and a fee (not cheap!). That's okay if you PLAN on having photos taken there, however, I don't know of
many places that will take you at the last minute if the weather turns suddenly. The Botanical Gardens charged
$150 last time I was there with a wedding party. Shea's and other places charge, too. Of course, they
only rent when they don't have another event going on.

Dinner suggestions....

For your small wedding did you consider Pearl St Grill? They seem like they might be nice for something small like that. I don't know how much money your looking to spend but Romanello's is nice too and so is salvatore's.

Very Small Winter Wedding - Kat

I need some help. I am having a small winter wedding. We have the church. I have only 1 famiily member (elderly aunt) who is attending the wedding. I really have no one else to invite except for maybe a few work acquaintances, if they want to drive to Buffalo. I have no maid/matron of honor, yet either. Since it is small, we are just having
a dinner for all the wedding guests (probably no more than 35-40). Does anyone have any ideas for a nice place
for the dinner. I am from out of town and I have no idea. Most of the attendees are from my fiance's side.
Has anyone had this problem before?

winter weddings or rainy days

My friend was married in Buffalo and it poured on her wedding day. She had pictures taken at the Ronald McDonald House (not exactly sure where it is in Buffalo). The pictures were absolutely beautiful and the site was "free" (they had a little thing saying you could make a donation if you wanted).

I don't know if you have heard of Rich's Renaissance Atrium. It is an office building for rich products down on niagara and west ferry. It has a beautiful foyer/atrium that is filled with greenery and plants and a waterful great for pictures. Im not sure what there policy is for allowing pictures but i would look into it. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice it is really pretty there! hope this helps!

Garden Place Hotel

If you get a room at the Garden Place Hotel you can take pictures inside there. However, if your reception is at Salvatores you get priority. Not the best location but great if you need to do indoor pictures, like winter time or bad weather.

Possibilites?

I'm not certain of exactly where, but I have heard that sometimes places will let you have pictures taken there for a "donation." (You may want to ask your photographer for ideas as well). I would maybe try the Darwin Martin House, Shea's, the Butler Mansion, and the Historical Society. Hope that helps!

Not positive on this...

I have never been to the Botanical Gardens, but I thought there was someplace indoors for pictures. I could be wrong though.
