DJ @ wedding @ Michael's - Jennifer C.

I was at one of my BFFs wedding a Michael's this weekend and wow I was blown away. He does introductions like no one I have ever seen. He played everything for everyone and as the night went on he got more current. He mixes like a club dj and seemed to be a very nice guy and lots of fun. I already have him booked for my wedding next year! Just throwin this out to anyone looking for a good dj.

DJ Benny is his name. His number is 716-863-4200

I highly recommend...

FLOWERS: The Floristry, www.thefloristry.com. They are absolutely wonderful!!! They really know their stuff and offer valuable advice for what is practical and how to save a few bucks if you are on a budget.

INVITATIONS: Sealed With Love, www.sealedwithlovedesigns.com. This is the place for custom save the dates, invitations, thank you.....and tons more. The designer is very creative and talented and made the whole process SO easy. They even design custom bridal tees, totes....etc. Awesome local vendor!

VIDEO: APV Productions Videography, www.apvproductions.com . Absolutely loved my video!! Very talented. Loved all the special effects they added to my video without making it cheesy.

I had an appt to meet with them to look at their facility. The appt was at 6:30. I rec'd a call a few minutes before 6:30 stating something came up and they had to cancel. If I had my wedding there would something come up and they have to cancel on that too? Needless to say I never went back there!!

The WEDDING AGENT- the owner is awesome and really works with you to find the accessories you need for a great price. Has chairs covers (cheapest of all vendors) unity candles, invitations, accessories, favors, tiaras, veils, etc. Check it out on her website. It's located on Elmwood Ave in Kenmore

Great Places to go for your wedding needs!!!!!!!
Posted: 8/30/2007

Since I started planning my wedding there has been some really great people out in Buffalo.

MUSCAREIL'S - for wedding cakes. Delicious and Ernest (one of the owners) was sooooo helpful and friendly. Besides the beautiful cakes they design, the customer service was superb!

CHRISTINE'S BRIDAL- for wedding gowns. Awesome selection and not mention the great customer service. They were so helpful and friendly. It made purchasing my gown a breeze.

DAVID'S BRIDAL IN HAMBURG - awesome! I didn't find a gown I liked but the customer service there was phenominal!! The young lady I worked with was so attentive and helpful with helping me find gowns and accessories. I wanted to buy a gown there just for that reason alone.

WOZNIAK'S PHOT0GRAPHY in LANCASTER - great customer service and very friendly! Prices are some of the cheapest around for what each package includes. Did not try to sell me things I did not want and worked with me to personalize my package to fit my needs. The digital albums are amazing and they DO NOT require you to pay for everything up front.

Check these places out you won't regret it

Who Not to USE!!!

Since I have been planning my wedding I defnitely have come across a few businesses that are rude and have very poor customer service skills. It's sad considering that this is supposed to be a happy time in your life. These people should want to bend over backwards to accomedate you considering all the mucho dollars you are spending!
Here's a list of businesses you might NOT want to work with due to their lack of customer service skills:

COUNTRY FLORIST IN WEST SENECA- they were very rude and basically plunked a book down. Hard to get ahold of to get an appointment in the first place!!!!

CLASSIC BRIDAL - rude, very rude! did not offer a dressing room, pedastel or slip!!! dressing rooms were dirty looking as was much of their merchandise (some of the dresses were stained badly!)

VICTORIA'S BRIDAL - OWNER was very rude and miserable when my friend(whos is also getting married) came in on a Monday and we were shopping for bridesmaids dresses. Between the 2 of us it would have been 12 dresses she could have had ordered. She wasn;t the least bit friendly or helpful and she made it seem like we should have had an appointment but on her website it did not state that. Besides only the 2 of us came in and there wasn;t a single customer in the store!!! However she has a nice selection...

Bachlorette Outing-Looking for ideas
Posted: 8/15/2007

I currently live out of town, but there will be a Bachlorette party held for me in Buffalo, as that is where I am originally from. I have heard all the Comedy clubs are closed, any unique ideas for fun stuff to do? I am trying to avoid Chippewa. Although I am not opposed to going for some martinis.
If anyone has any fun ideas please let me know, thanks!

Planner - Bride to be

Fresh from being a bridesmaid in a wedding that Details, Details did, I can tell you that it was worth the money that my friend spent - that company had all the vendors lined up and organized and the bride was NOT stressed at all. I have booked with the company already for my wedding in 08.

D.J.
Posted: 8/7/2007

I strongly recommend Whirln' Disc for a D.J. They have several D.J.'s that are appropriate to your individual needs. I work in the wedding industry and have nothing but praise for the weddings they've done at our facility. (...And, no, I don't get kickbacks from them. It's an honest opinion)

dj not to use
