Monique and Brian in Buffalo

So it was a typical Wednesday night and we were supposed to go to my favorite restaurant in NYC for dinner around 7pm.

It was very hot and humid that day so Brian insisted on coming over to my apt first to "cool down" next to the A/C, which I thought was so silly since the restaurant had A/C too, but whatever..

So I had just gotten home and my buzzer rang immediately. I rang him up to the apt and when he came to the door, I said "come in", but he didn't. So I went to the door and looked through the peep-hole. I could tell that he was lower to the ground than usual (he's 6 feet tall), but didn't know why. So I opened the door and he was there on one knee with the ring, a bouquet of roses and champagne.

I was in complete shock but I managed to actually say the word yes. It was the most wonderful and surreal moment of my life. We will be married in Buffalo on May 5, 2007. We can't wait to celebrate our very own special Cinqo De Mayo!!
